This series of experimental demonstrations started decades ago with the three nails demonstration showing interference or stray current corrosion.

This series of demonstrations has already shown that accelerated corrosion and over protection can be visible is 16 hours with an impressed current of 0.5 amps from a 25 volt anode. ( I have personally installed 300 amp TRs in fieldwork so it is feasible that one of the pipelines is the Baltic Sea had such a TR)

These experiments have so far proved that we can show accelerated corrosion and from stray current and hydrogen embrittlement from over-protection. We can also gather the required data to computer model and analyse the observations in a repeatable process.
